Un Sabado Gigante in Engineering is a free one-day program opened to all middle school students in Texas, with a focus on Hispanic population. USGE is designed to expose and inspire students to the opportunities in Engineering and Science; therefore, the attendee requirements are not based on school grades. The event includes a simultaneous program for parents to educate them on the advantages of a college education. Engineers and Professionals from Central Texas come together to participate one-on-one with our youth and provide inspired moments. It may be a hands-on project that catches a students interest, or it may be that engineer who overcame adversity, or it may be the inspired speakers which motivate our youth to continue with their education. Regardless, we want to create as many opportunities for our students to "dream" of themselves as more . . . .
Our program can only be provided through the 1) Time of our volunteers, 2) and generous contributions from our sponsors.
